Built to Last.
Ready to Lead.
Together.
Brother Allie L. Braswell, Jr., MA — your 1st Vice State Director — is a candidate for 30th State Director of the State of Florida. This is not my campaign. This is our campaign: every Brother, every chapter, every community we serve.
Why I'm Running
Serve with purpose. Build with intention. Leave it stronger.
My journey through Sigma has touched every level of this organization — from chapter member, to President of the largest chapter in our state, to 1st Vice State Director, to national committee leadership on the International Military Affairs and Honorary Membership Committees.
In 2021, through my home chapter — Gamma Delta Sigma, Orlando — I founded the Getting in Good Trouble Awards & Scholarship Luncheon, built to give Central Florida students a foundation to launch from. Now it's time to launch in service to all Florida Sigmas.
The Platform
Five Pillars for Florida Sigmas' Future
A platform built on listening to Brothers, strengthening chapters, and making history — no state organization has done what Florida is about to do.
Our Financial Foundation
Strengthen the fiscal infrastructure of our state organization — long-term stability rooted in sound, transparent, sustainable financial leadership that benefits every chapter.
Our Perpetual Strategic Plan
Develop a living strategic plan that professionalizes our operations, grows our membership, and positions Florida Sigma for success for generations of Brothers to come.
Value for Every Brother
Whether a Brother crossed fifty years ago or last semester, membership must offer real value. We will listen through District Directors, Roundups, and chapter engagement — and deliver.
Lifting Every Chapter
Share proven fundraising practices from across Florida — Nu Mu Sigma's Blue Luau, Kappa Chi Sigma's Mother's Day Salute, Gamma Delta Sigma's Getting in Good Trouble Awards and Scholarship Luncheon — so each chapter rises.
Framework for Florida's Future
Lay the foundation for a permanent presence in the State of Florida. In 112 years of Sigma history, no state organization has achieved this milestone. Florida will go first.
Proven Leadership
Service at key levels of Sigma
Since crossing in Fall 2017, Brother Braswell has led at the chapter, regional, state, and international levels — with one mission at every stop: serve with purpose, build with intention, leave it stronger.
1st Vice State Director, State of Florida
Second-highest office in Florida Sigma, serving 37 chapters. Chair, State Brotherhood Membership Committee — architect of the "Drive to 1500" membership initiative.
Former President, Gamma Delta Sigma (Orlando)
Led the largest chapter in the State of Florida — a Platinum Level Chapter — through growth in membership, service, and fundraising.
Co-Chair, International Military Affairs Committee
A 12-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA), Emeritus — appointed by the Secretary of the Army and conferred Emeritus status for distinguished service. Serving the Brothers who serve: connecting Sigma to military members, veterans, and their families.
Chairman, Honorary Membership Committee
Had the distinct privilege of investing Brother Maxwell Alejandro Frost — the first Gen Z member of the U.S. Congress — into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Servant Leadership at Every Level
From co-chairing international committees to chairing the Decorations Committee at the 2026 Premier Southern Region Regional Conference — because in Sigma, service is service. No assignment is too large, and none is too small.
Founder, Getting in Good Trouble Awards & Scholarship Luncheon
Founded in 2021 through Gamma Delta Sigma Chapter, raising over $300,000 in cash and gifts in-kind to benefit students from Central Florida. The 5th Annual Luncheon welcomed 330+ attendees and awarded ten scholarships.
